I did not restore from any kind of backup and started completely new. I ended up being able to reset everything and do a clean install of Catalina OS from my M1 Mac Mini and got everything working with a fresh install. So I went through the process of changing the log-in password and even after changing it, it wouldn’t work. The issue started when I went to log in to the MBP and my password has capital letters and it wasn’t accepting it. MacBook Pro A1278 will only boot in safe mode, UNLESS I hold down the “command” button while it’s booting up Ok, I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what is going on with this thing and so I’m just going to post this and cross my fingers. Here is also a report by EtreCheck attached In last month I have upgraded to Monterey and purchased Stream deck and installed Keyboard Maestro (before on Big Sur I didn't have such problems).ĭoes anybody have any suggestion how to proceed? I do have lost of USB devices installed on the system. So I guess it is a software related thing, but I don't know hot to diagnose it and fix it. When I boot it the safe mode it works there OK, even faster than usual. I have called the Apple support, and they suggested reinstalling the system which I did, first aid in disk management, but this didn't really help. It happens at random times, usually when I have more tasks going on. I have problems with computer asking me for keychain login password, loosing my bluetooth connection to the mouse, loosing dots under open apps (even if the app is running right click will show me option as it was closed), some apps including finder are crashing, sometimes I cannot do the shutdown so I need to do the hard reset (occasionally terminal shutdown works). Lately it has been working very unreliably with apps crushing, or working very slow. Hi, I have a problem with my Mac Mini M1.
